I am thankful

FOR THE WIFE
WHO SAYS IT'S HOT DOGS TONIGHT,
BECAUSE SHE IS HOME WITH ME,
AND NOT OUT WITH SOMEONE ELSE.

FOR THE HUSBAND
WHO IS ON THE SOFA
BEING A COUCH POTATO,
BECAUSE HE IS HOME WITH ME
AND NOT OUT AT THE BARS.

FOR THE TEENAGER
WHO IS COMPLAINING ABOUT DOING DISHES
BECAUSE THAT MEANS SHE IS AT HOME,
NOT ON THE STREETS.

FOR THE TAXES
THAT I PAY
BECAUSE IT MEANS THAT
I AM EMPLOYED.

FOR THE MESS
TO CLEAN AFTER A PARTY
BECAUSE IT MEANS THAT I HAVE
BEEN SURROUNDED BY FRIENDS.

FOR THE CLOTHES
THAT FIT A LITTLE TOO SNUG
BECAUSE IT MEANS
I HAVE ENOUGH TO EAT.

FOR MY SHADOW
THAT WATCHES ME WORK
BECAUSE IT MEANS
I AM OUT IN THE SUNSHINE.

FOR A LAWN
THAT NEEDS MOWING,
WINDOWS THAT NEED CLEANING,
AND GUTTERS THAT NEED FIXING

BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE A HOME.

FOR ALL THE COMPLAINING
I HEAR ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT
BECAUSE IT MEANS THAT
WE HAVE FREEDOM OF SPEECH.

FOR THE PARKING SPOT
I FIND AT THE FAR END OF THE PARKING LOT
BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM CAPABLE OF WALKING
AND THAT I HAVE BEEN
BLESSED WITH TRANSPORTATION.

FOR MY HUGE HEATING BILL
BECAUSE IT MEANS
I AM WARM.

FOR THE LADY
BEHIND ME IN CHURCH
THAT SINGS OFF KEY
BECAUSE IT MEANS
THAT I CAN HEAR.

FOR THE PILE
OF LAUNDRY AND IRONING
BECAUSE IT MEANS
I HAVE CLOTHES TO WEAR.

FOR WEARINESS
AND ACHING MUSCLES
AT THE END OF THE DAY
BECAUSE IT MEANS
I HAVE BEEN
CAPABLE OF WORKING HARD.

FOR THE ALARM
THAT GOES OFF
IN THE EARLY MORNING HOURS
BECAUSE IT MEANS THAT I AM ALIVE.

AND FINALLY.
FOR TOO MUCH E-MAIL
BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE
FRIENDS WHO ARE THINKING OF ME.

God bless you / Gott Segne Dich

Fantasy Dinner Party

Was thinking today, if I could hold a dinner party for anyone in the world famous or not, living or dead....who would you choose? What would you serve to eat? What would we talk about? How would you entertain your guests?

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.............pondering

will be back with some answers. What about you?

ok guests:
Michael Stipe - he just has such a peaceful voice both in spoken and song word

Princess Diana - I think I would just have so much to ask her....aren't there just some people you *wish* you could reach out and help

Patrick Stewart - (ok its a voice thing again) but he is a very intellegent and tallented individual

Bela Bartok - I wrote a dissertation on this guy in college and because of him passed my A level in music - yet to this day I still know so little about him. Very serious and slightly detatched guy (if you listen to him you'll know)

Ant and Dec - comedy value...well they'd lighten up any party lets face it

Jamie Lee - he always makes me laugh and can have the longest conversation about who you would take on your desert island (but thats another entry) this guy rocks

Brother Yun - I've only started to read the begining of his book The Heavenly Man but he is such an inspirational guy!! Really challenges me when I cant be bothered to get out of bed on a Sunday morning!!! Just read it...you'll know!

My best friend Rach - Well i couldnt invite Patrick Stewart and not invite Rach!!!

We would eat:

Leek and potato soup to start, followed by apollo dolcelate with lightly salted Italian fries mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmm I don't do desserts, too stodgy but would swish it all down with Ame Rose the bestest non alcoholic drink in the world (I'm such a commoner I know I know!!)

What would we talk about?

Well with that mix anything is possibble, topics may include Music (obviously) Can see Michael and Bela in a D & M, Religion - I somehow feel Diana and Brother Yun would have a lot to talk about. Obviously Ant Dec and Jamie would have much in common and patrick can talk star trek with Rach all night!!

And as for entertainment.....a good old jammin session is in order....I can see a new musical gebre in developement with Stipe and Bartok.........what would that go like?

And finally location? well theres nothing wrong with my funky new dining room....but if its a bit too squished then.....................................under the stars, round a nice camp fire

14 things to do in Tesco, if bored

1. Get 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in peoples' trolley when they aren't looking.

2. Set all the alarm clocks in houseware to go off at 5 minute
intervals.

3. Walk up to an employee and tell him/her in an official tone, "Code 10 at Pharmacy" ... and see what happens.

4. Go to the Service Desk and ask to put a bag of M&M's on hold.

5. Move a "CAUTION - WET FLOOR" sign to a carpeted area.

6. Set up a tent in the houseware and tell other shoppers you'll only invite them in if they bring pillows from the bedding department.

7. When an assistant asks if they can help you, begin to cry and ask, "Why can't you people just leave me alone?"

8. Look right into the security camera and use it as a mirror while you pick your nose.

9. While handling knives in the kitchen ware department ask the clerk if he knows where the anti-depressants are.

10. Dart around the store suspiciously while loudly humming the theme from Mission Impossible.

11. In the car accessory department practice your Madonna look using different size funnels.

12. Hide in the clothing rack and when people browse through shout, "PICK ME! PICK ME!!!!"

13. When an announcement comes over the loud speaker assume the foetal position and scream, "NO! NO! It's those voices again!"

14. Go into a fitting room and yell real loudly...."Hey! We're out of toilet paper in here!"

Go on....I DARE ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Holy Roller!!

Take the quiz: "WHAT RELIGION BESTS SUITS YOU?"

Holy Roller
Jumping, dancing, praising and speaking in tongues are just some of the many things you do to honor your god. If you meet one of the un-saved, you pray for them. You are kind, caring and full of Christ's love. Perhaps a bit obsessive, but at least you're true to your faith. PRAISE THE LORD!

Domino's

I love my job, I really do. But there are some days where I'd rather stick my head in a steaming vat of molton rock than face going to another lesson with naughty children. My kids are fab, they aren't lovely, they'd mug ya for a fiver, they dont pass on pearls of great wisdom of the kind that can only come from the mouths of babes and they dont even bring you an apple every day!! But they do challenge me, teach me new words and help me to keep up with the latest. however i dread they will push me to an early grave or at the very least, insanity!!!! And today is no exception!!!!

So I have a free period now and all my paperwork is up to date, frankly i'm bored and watching the clock ready to go home!! Actually I am going to Karens as I left my photo's there and need to get them back.

So how have I passed the time? Well to give some friends some advertising, I looked at Tristan and Adams web sites....havent been there for a while so thought I'd see if anything had changed. All was pretty much the same but I had a fab 5 minutes looking at all the video clips of Giant Jenga Domino's!!!! How fab!!!! That has ended my working day nicely!

Tonight is homegroup. First proper one back as lasrt week was a joint one at church. Not really sure whats gonna happen but will be cool to be back to normal.

My house is still a wreck and that is making me all squiffy and when I'm squiffy I get kinda floopy which is never a good thing.

Hey ho....lets see what tomorrow brings

As we are asking questions

Can anyone tell me how i add photo's to this blog?

Here I am waiting

Abide in me I pray
Here I am longing for you.......lalalala

Thats stuck in my head...kinda sums stuff up tho. Why do we always feel like this at the start of a new year? Knowing that we have neglected God and fallen short and longing to know Him more...and here's me...I dont even currently own a Bible!!! I want to do something with my insignificant little life...really make a difference. And lets face it the worlds not short of good causes!

I am really happy in my life, I love Aaron more than words can say and we are so happy in our little hovel up here in Dudley (although slightly annoyed by the lack of facilities!) Church is cool and work is good...we have amazing friends....yet I long for more...more of god that is, more of a focus on His will in my life...more of a yearning for him. All i can ask is that you pray, pray that we all find...no make time for more of Him.

Much love xx
